We dropped into our local community’s annual 007 Speakeasy Crawl recently. Organizers created six hidden bars in the backs of businesses or where you wouldn’t ordinarily expect to find a bar. Like in an animal-feed store. Starting in a sketchy alley, we followed the clues from one crowded speakeasy to another. All offered a choice of two cocktails with catchy names like Aston Martin (vodka martini), Heartbreaker (Negroni), and Skyfall Sour (bourbon and lemon). 007 posters adorned many of the walls. One stop offered a lively game of Craps. We will be back for the sequel next year.
